Welcome to Corbett National Park

Jim Corbett national park established in the year of 1936 is the oldest national park in India and is home to a wide variety of flora and Fauna. Around 488 different types of plants along with almost 50 different species of mammals and close to nearly 600 species of birds populate the area and for its unique geographical characteristic it has always been a favorite destination for tourists and wildlife lovers.

As an eco-tourism destination tourism activity is allowed only a few selected areas of Corbett Tiger Reserve in order to allow the tourists to experience the splendid wildlife and most beautiful landscapes of the area. The Corbett National Park is also home to the great Royal Bengal Tiger and the first tiger sanctuary of the country.

Though Jim Corbett was one of the best big game hunters in the forest surrounding Nainital and its adjoining districts but he was also the first to understand the need of protecting the most impressive wildlife of the area and pioneered to develop eco-tourism and contributed a lot to implement the Project Tiger Plan initiated by the Indian Government to protect the Royal Bengal Tiger and other endangered species of the deciduous forest of this sub-Himalayan area.

Corbett Climate and Weather Condition
The temperature of Corbett national park may vary from 5 °C (41 °F) to 30 °C (86 °F) during the winter and some mornings are foggy. Summer temperatures of Corbett normally do not rise above 40 °C (104 °F). During the Rainy season temperature ranges from light during the dry season to heavy during the monsoons.

Jeep and Elephant Safari in Corbett – You can spot following wildlife anmials during the safari  Mammals- Wild Elephant, tigers, leapard, jangle cat, leopard cat, sambur, cheetal, hog deer, Barking Deer, Goral, Nilgai, wild boar, slothbear, civet, marten, otter, mangoos, hare.
